I hope you can say that 10 years from now. I like the fact that the 3 valves were smaller and lighter. The big ones I just took out had 80 hrs and were beat to shit.

I'm nearly ready to order parts for this bike and have a cart at powersportswarehouse.com that has;
1 - OEM piston, rings, pin, and circlips
1 - OE head gasket & base gasket
1 - set OEM seals
1 - set OEM crank bearings
1 - set OEM transmission bearings
1 - OEM oil pump ROTOR-PUMP,SCAVENGE
1 - OEM oil pump ROTOR-PUMP,FEED
$440.00.

Did I miss anything?

It's a new Hot-Rods bearing and rod. I have the receipt from the place that pressed it all together.

I ordered a bunch of lower-end parts and am looking at the head now.
It appears that she came with a set of Hotcams Stage 1 cams.

I dont need high $$$ crazy HP mods, I just want it to be as close to bullet-proof and long-lasting as I can get it on my budget.
I've heard stainless valves are the way to go for strength but need some more info from you guys.

If it were yours, how would you go about building this head to give economical and long-lasting performance?

SS valves for sure, cams are not going to change longevity that much.

Have MX Time do your Head. Keep the stage one cams. Make sure the nikasil plating is good.
