South The Official 2013 DBA T-DAY Planning Thread

I like the Garmin 62s a lot. It works great. As far as I know, there aren't many hardwire connections for it. I know a couple of companies will make their own but I don't have any experience with them. I use good AA batteries with a piece of cloth between them and the battery door for a tighter seal. I haven't experienced any issues with it turning off from vibration or anything either. The 120 mile trip we did last year also it worked perfectly in pointing us in the right direction. The only bad thing I can mention is the bike mount I have. It works but it sucks. Buy a RAM mount and be done with it. That's what I plan to do in the future.
Ok, thanks. I think there is a hardwire kit but it utilizes for of a USB type of connection which isn't as robust as the circular 5 pin connection my 60CSx had.

Oh, Wahoo's has yet to let me down... then again, Thai is good too... :thumb:.... but expensive but since YOU'RE buying... who cares...

Had Thai last Friday compliments of vendor. Not much of a fan of Wahoo's and they are within walking distance. WHat else :noidea:
