By the way. I ran seal savers on my old suzuki. Aside from changing the fork oil once a year the seals on that bike are still running strong with no leaks for going on 3 years now. I only know this because Im friends with the current owner.

Trued my front wheel in the forks. It was 2.5mm out in the vertical axis. Couple of turns of opposing spokes, and all 3 axis came true within .5mm (close enough for gov't work). :thumb:
Figured I'd build up for install. My tire irons are in riverside, so I have to wait until friday to actually shoe the tire on. Until then look at my huge-mongus tubes... UHD.... :drool:

Also, and this is just me, but I would dump the rubber bands in the rims and run 2 layers of duct tape around the rim. I rip the tape so it sits inside the rim just over the spokes and run it around twice. Been doing this for longer than Rack has been alive which is over 100 years now..

Other than that, this bike is going to be sweet looking when done.

Do both! Run the DT around the rim without the RL in and then run the rubber band around like normal and over the RL. Just my .02C

:thumb: I don't, but it would not hurt. Just make sure that with the massive thick tube :shocked: you're running and the combination of the tape and band, that you do not get tube slippage in the tire. You want to make sure the tape/band is below the lip of the rim above the spoke canal.

:blush: Yeah... how embarrassing... I have cleaned it twice and once it goes back on the bike I see more cleaning I could do. How is it that it looks totally clean in the sink/parts wash but as soon as it gets back on the bike it looks like garbage???
Probably pull it off and clean it again, then PLEXUS/PLEDGE/WAX that bish tonight. It's gotta get better....

I tape all my brand new rims, not going to see it. Or do what I do and use some sweet looking tape like this:
