In all honesty the yamaha transmissions are all pretty weak on the MX bikes.

Just got an engine in the shop that pops out of 5th. Have not torn into it yet, but the guy wants an X transmission installed anyway.

2 YZ rear wheels complete with paddle tires on them that the dumbass UK brothers left at Dans house.

Back to the WR.
2 things;
1 - I reassembled the side cover/clutch assy and now the clutch is mushy. It worked fine before i touched it. Is this because the discs sat for 3 months on my bench, or did I mess something up? The 89 yz125 feels similar, but I haven't been inside that one yet.
2 - What is this thing? Came out of my oil filter area, and I dont see it in the parts fiche.

Looks like part of the filter fell apart.
