How about just watching the Video's and talking about them instead.? Like WoW John Dowd was amazing for a retired MX'er on the big, ugly, slow handling, green turd. He WON :jawdrop: no way , he must have cut the track. How do you like that? Is that better.?

The deal is, Not everyone can ride a 500 as hard as they want to ride. You keep forcing that the 500 is the BEST bike ever built. Alot of riding is what you are comfortable on. Not everyone wants get wore out in a few laps or miles trying to hang on. Alot of guys like to ride all day/full race. Just chill...

I think the problem here is that it seems like a 500 is the ONLY good bike out there.

Everyone has a different riding style so what works for you may not work for me. For example I've never owned a bike bigger than a 250F and I don't ever plan on buying a bigger one. A 250F has more than enough power for my needs so why should I go buy a 500? Heck my next bike might even be a 125 (less horsepower than the 250f).

Why would we be afraid of someone having a "better" bike than us? I really don't care what others ride.

You want an epic video? Go watch this video I got of a SuperMini rider, on his 85 big wheel, racing against the 450B class and pulling away from the pack. According your "more power is better" logic you've been pushing on us, the 450F's should've won against this kid on his mini.

With all this said, of course I (and most of the others) appreciate and enjoy watching the 500's race, but that doesn't mean we're going to run out and buy one. :bonk:

Yes, I have seen that video. I also have a freind who has smoked guys on 450's with a 2003 KX125. I hear ya. It would just be nice to read more possitive reply's. from certain ones replying. I hope you understand where I am coming from.

That's what I am trying to say and I was trying to say it with the videos. The 500cc two strokes are not as bad as you might think they are. Please, if you know someone who has a CR or KX500af. Ask if you could do a lap or two. Before you get off the bike 4 or 6 laps will have past.

And I hope you understand where we're coming from. We actually have nothing against 500's, it's just been a little strong with the "500's are the only good bikes" posts that tend to rub people the wrong way (me included). I'd suggest that instead of telling everyone that they need to ride/buy a 500, you just post the video(s) and ask people to check out this sick 500 video.

Not one person has said ANYTHING negative about the bike in any one of your threads...

Opinions are great and make DBA a fun place to hear everyone's different take on the same topic.
But the way you won't have anything but absolute reassurance and praise for each of your postings, well it turns most of us away from any kind of engagement with you.

Relax a bit, We all love our 500cc 2Ts and I have had one as my primary bike for quite a few years. I love it, but I don't need to preach that fact. It speaks for itself... -BIG DAN

Big Dan and his 500 went everywhere my 250 2t and my sons 250 4t went. It even went faster and more gracefully at times.

Did you ever make it over to Big Dans build thread? You need to check that out.
