Johnson valley Easter 2013

We pretty much headed back after that. Some FRQ, then some open Dez, where Trav picked up some vegeation. Next stop was camp.

After some rockin chili mac for lunch, thanks Mrs. Trav, it was Chloe's turn for some dirt sickle.

She's got it down. Time for Dad to buy more toys.

After family time, Trav and I snuck in a short ride. I'm not sure what Trav was talking about on this Willy boy nonsense, that's located in a Wilderness area. :naughty:

We did stop here and talked to these two riders though.

On the way back to camp, we swung by the Rez to see if anyone was there. I tried the door, but had no luck.

Thinking what a Rat Bastard Rez was, for not letting us camp at the rez, Timo begun to put a plan together. :devil:

The next day was Saturday, and the ride to P&H. Palmer, P-Jr, and RhinoRoof joined us in the AM for the journey.

Palmers, after he got his ass stuck in Chloe's chair.

We geared up and headed to RSC, when not 10 miles from camp, FTT showed up.

The canyon entrance just ahead.

Everyone had their assignment at this tube swap. :busted:

Halfway up the canyon, at either where Trav is showing me his ass, or taking some pictures.

Ehhh, Wilderness......the trails past Willie Boys grave and out of the "wilderness" are pretty cool. Jeep width so you FRQ's would be :drool:

but they are fun to just :ride:

around. A lot just dead end into a camping spot or something but fun to explore.

I was wondering if you guys came by our place on the way to WB's... unless you know of it, there's a cool but real short ride we call the loop that drops into the wash where the beginning of the trail (or close to it) begins. It's got a little of everything excluding water and pines... Washes, rocks, slate, hard pack, hills, rolly hilly shit, WHOOPS, a sweet jump that's now all whooped out before it..., very scenic...

The rest stop at Giant Rock.

From there, it was straight back to camp, since the younger Palmer was having fuel issues. All in all, a great day, with a great group.

With time for one last ride, Trav, and I did a dawn patrol to see what was left of the plane.

A little break at the top of a dune to let my face thaw.

Back on the bikes, I took a wrong turn and ended up in Aftershock. :doh:

I'm sure Trav had some names for me. :smirk:

As you've heard, there's no more C-130, but the new find was kind of cool too though. Now that all the main goals were wrapped up, being it was Easter Sunday, we thought we should give the old JV church one more try......

and to our surprise, Easter services were in process.

We were shocked that the Rez was open, but were very pleased that we got to give thanks in our own special way. So now that this RR is done, (and thanks to the Moreno family, you all :rocker:
