[Feb 2, 2013] REZRIDE 2013 (LANDERS, CA 92285)

You guys are gunna miss the Superbowl!

NO we're not, KING OF THE MOTOS IS THE SUPER BOWL!

Sorry I havent been around here much lately. My internet patterns have changed since I started working more and regularly. I havnet been riding so much dirt lately, and that often disengages me from DBA.
Unfortunately, due to commitments made long ago, I (we,) hope to be there by 6pm or so on Saturday. Wish I could make it sooner but regardless it will still be nice to see everyone and finally meet some of the family members and other DBA'ers I havent met yet. If even for some drinks around the fire. As I had planned a year ago, and didnt know it was the same weekend, Maryann and I will be, I should say plan on, getting up early Sunday morning and riding over to the event to watch the start of King of the Motos and then relocate to one of the nearby ravines they will climb. That's the plan anyhow. Anyone who wants to join us is more then welcome. Not a hardcore ride of any kind, just a ride to the locations to spectate. They want a 20.00 donation to spectate but technically cant charge you to ride the land. We dont plan on going to "Hammer Town" but, were bringing 20.00 to support the cause and maybe they will give us a map to make it easier to find the locations to spectate, Im not sure were going to wing that. I will be meeting another girl friend and her Son at the event. We dont plan on staying till the very end, just want to see the start where they scramble like ants on crack up a hill (unless different this year,) and also watch some top notch riders kick some ass up a nasty, rocky ravine. We're packing our backpacks with snacks and beverages to kick back on boulders in the sun, spectate and just enjoy the desert event vibe.

The weather should be good.

Looking forward to it:thumb:

Rez I may not be able to do any riding this weekend... my barn is not done and I have a container of goods arriving Monday or Tuesday ! I can only work on it during the day so I'll be over Saturday evening to meet you guys and hang out.

That's half the fun anyway. :thumb:

This sounds good, if my body doesn't go into convulsions from Sat's ride... (dreamer, silly little dreamer)... I'll be joining you guys/girls. As for the course... apparently some of the guys (who finished) last year told Jimmy Lewis (course designer) it wasn't rough enough. I'm pretty sure the guys that DNF'd would say different.

Can't wait...

No problem Bolt... should be a decent sized crowd...

See you then

@ Biggy D... I'll bring El Diablo however you're on your own with her/him/it... I haven't taken the time to make sure it starts. I've never had a problem after it's sat for a long period.. usually 3 kicks and she comes to life.

Bring some gas too if you could... :thumb:
