Its just way harder to just go down to any old store and pick up a box of anything. Now I migh have to go early in the morning and check a few stores.

Call them up and ask which days/times they get their deliveries and show up at that time.

Apparently the link is to a "live" updated site within the CA Gov so it changes. Here it is as of today:
http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billCompareClient.xhtml

The bill is SB-53 which relates to the $50 permit fee. Type that in when you go to the link below and it will pull up the most current information.

Ahh, here try this one. http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billNavClient.xhtml?bill_id=201320140SB53&search_keywords=

The only stuff I've been able to find is some shotgun ammo and hunting rifle ammo. Well as long as it's not 308. Handgun ammo is difficult to get.

Why is it that 22 rounds that used to be $1.25 a box are now like $20 and are NEVER in stock?
Should I just start buying rounds for my SKS and 9mm now because I cant get 22lr? wtf?

Edit: Just checked online and it seems the world is out of its fucking mind!!!!! :bonk:
used to buy 50rnds of 9mm (post911) for $7-10 a box is now averaging $27 and 7.62 are $150 a bucket

It would be cheaper if I started racing motocross and gave up shooting...

It's either 1 of 3 things:
1 - the government is buying up all the ammo which has some validity as they have been asked to explain the huge increase in the budget for this expense item by some oversight committee.

2 - ammo companies are holding back inventory to artificially inflate the prices

3 - panic buying from the general public actually has outstripped the ammo companies about to produce it fast enough.

I know I have read some articles on #1 and some of the questions that I vaguely recall were related to the purchase if items that they don't even use. Gonna have to do some searching for that. I just remember when reading about it, I couldn't believe it, it was typical f'n government shit.

At least ammo is actually able to be bought now. We haven't tried within the past month or two but everyone around here was going store to store looking for 9mm.
