450F My new WR!

so i took the valve cover off to inspect if the timing jumped or not (it did) and i was going to shim the valves while it was down. To my complete amazement all the valves tested in spec. So now all i need is a woodruff key and about an hour to put it all back together. So there is a possibility to get her up and running today. I will be ordering a 04 starter idle gear and cover to prevent the problem from happining again though :thumb:

Well after tearing it apart at least 6 times i finally got it to work after makeing 3 different keys by sanding with plate glass and i used red loctite on the crank, flywheel, key, and nut and tourqed that fucker down with a pipe. It started right up like it did before but after i went on a short 10 min ride it has a hanging idle and a moderate oil leak out of the valve cover. Im hoping the idle is just a carb issue that was a coincidence and not a timing thing. But I have a soild 12 hours into this "simple" repair already

Which still leaves me with this statement,

Fuck 4 strokes
