RM250 Coach Project 96 RM250

Well, today was a big day. All I need is fork oil, crankcase oil, coolant, and a spark plug. Once that's done, I'll be able to break the engine in!

I put a new cover on my seat today, the old one was a little ratty. It was quite an experience, I had it almost completely stapled down and had to restart because it was lose, but I got it!

I made a whole bunch of progress over the weekend and today. I took the whole front end apart, greased the headset, partially disassembled the forks to drain and refill them. I made some mistakes, had to redo the forks, which meant buying a few new tools and starting over on the process, got them reassembled correctly and this is where I ended. I also got a brand new full set of plastics.

Sounds like it's breaking up a little just off idle, or it's not warmed up enough.
Probably needs a few long pulls to get a really good idea of how it's jetted.
Otherwise, RIP IT!! -BIG DAN:thumb:

I think it's a combination of a few things. I discovered I had the wrong heat range for the plug, it's the oem pj carb which is known to be just bad in general, and yeah it only got it fully up to temp after I rode it up a side street and back.
