Although my engine is going into my wife's 1984 Chevy Camaro. Not a 4x4.

Yep! The 55 I finished for my brother and dad before I left, has a 64 vette 283, Muncie 4 speed and some other stuff. I bought a 58 last week, the guy I bought it from is throwing in a rebuilt 350, th350, 203, 205 and 208. so the 55 will get the 350 th350 and full float scout II axles. the 58 is going to turned into a rat rod if my budget is good. Or ill just sell it.
So underrated transfer.... Always hear people saying they are weak and junk. We run them in our race trucks,but put in 241 chains... And i have buddys that run them with 1500hp ...
They don't like smacking rocks though
