Today reminded me of a little ditty by Sheryl Crow "Every day i realize that my bike is a giant pile of shit, but i get a little bit closer"
This weekend i got a little bit done.
Swinger
rear brakes (changed out the fluid. Thought i did this summer but i must have only done the front, took the resivor cap off and it was black

)
Rear wheel and sprocket
Front sproket and chain guard
Also got the expansion plug to pop the dents out of my can, but i didn't have time to measure so i got one to big

.
Clean the airbox

clean and oil the airfilter
Ran new breather lines since the old ones must have ran away and joined the circus
took apart the silencer, it was nasty. Cleaned the pipe and the cap/core out. As it turns out, FMF uses oil based paint. Who woulda thunk?
Also since i only ran this silencer for a couple months (even though its better then the other one) this is my first time repacking this one. The guy before me used rivets, so i drilled those. Then i found that there is nuts welded on the inside for screws

. So i'll go pick up a couple to make my life easier when i repack it next time.
Its starting to come together and i can start to see all my hours of cleaning pay off. I wish i had a better camera, she is really starting to look good now.
