My fork seals leak but I don't want to spend the $ to fix them. Duct tape would be ok, right?

Just buy a bottle of fork oil, remove the cap on the forks, and duct tape the bottle upside down on top of them...should be good for a few races depending on the severity of the leak. :thumb:

Canolla oil is the same weight (5wt) as that pricey fork oil, can I use that in my forks? I mean, it's not like it's being used on something important like the engine, right? Besides, it has 0 grams of trans fat and is greener than dino oil! Crisco or the less expensive store brand?

I'd go with EVOO...extra virgin (can I say that??) olive oil. It's better...won't clog your bikes arteries!

Sure...it'll also hide the dirt stuck to the oil...Keep in mind, they sell colored duct tape too! Woo Hoo - takes care of leaks AND is stylish too!

Ok, first post I better make it a good one:

Getting back into riding after 10 years sitting in an office chair. Bought a bike that had been sitting for 5 years with gas in the float bowl, how come it won't run? I've adjusted the timing, changed tires, drilled holes in the exhaust to make it flow more, but it still won't start unless we pull start it on the freeway. Should I set my sag higher to help it run better?

This is a Dirt bike site, not prison, pull up your pants and you won't have to worry about sag.:moon:
As far as pulling it down the FWY, make sure you have RM (Racer Mode) installed and activated. Plus you might want to grease the valve stem bearings.
Good Luck and welcome! :P
