What did you do to your bike today?

:banana:Fuk yeah it runs! Fast revver too
holy $hit maybe I should wait to pass judgement on these pain in the ass Ti exh valves might be worth it. Just cycled a few times in the garage blinking a map sensor problem. Gotta double check my connections.

I will follow how the ti valves work, i think I have three idle heads right now that are ripe for a buildup, and probably not the ones that I need, but i have more cases and crankshafts, so why not. and mine are older than yours.

Last (only) time I rode it I remember it being on par power wise with my yz250f I think I remember blue feeling faster but I think it's because the efi was so smooth. When I get a chance to A/B these two again we'll see what's what. Turns out, the hose tit broke off the MAP sensor giving me the blinkity blink. Looks like somebody glued it once before not that I blame them a $100 piece of plastic is hard to swallow. Took more kicks than I would like to start up, and wouldn't start unless I blipped the throttle just enough and right on time. Hopefully this little dealy fixes that up. new one be here Friday, which is perfect timing were having a Texas cold front coming! It will only get to 95° this weekend :tumbleweed:

I showed them all off to my daughters boyfriend. He asked me if I knew where Randsburg is. And when I said yes he acted amazed. Then I told him I had been there many times before you were even born. So, I asked him if he new where rainbow basin is, or coper city. He said no, I said good... Keep it that way you little prick!

If the average hack who fixed it with super glue, would have fixed it like me (expert hack) it would still be working

I'll keep this as a spare. Just might pop it on just to see if I still get the error code, and see if it affex the start procedure

Every time I got on and off of a red and blue one (pre injection) the blue always seemed more responsive. but side by side they ran the same it seemed. i really like the way the blue ones have held up over time (the 5 valve one and the 4 seem to both be doing it well) but every time i rode one compared to the red one it seemed like a squirrel carrying a backpack had found it's way into something and died, but on the scale they were about a pepsi apart. anyone got a crankshaft from a blue 250f to weigh?

Put 1.7 hrs on it today. Pulls a tall gear well, this things got some grunt for a 250. Tried to stay away from the rev limit at least until get a couple three hours in it. Revs quick, does seem to hit a wall at mid throttle then starts pulling again. Overall I like it.
Fun day!

other than i can't stand black on a dirtbike (possibly because one of the ones i most hated that i owned was black) at least you dont have black rims yet and it looks good

Yeah the red was faded and not really red, more of an orangy red so I went with the black thinking to add white graphics but people want way too much money for stickers, I'd rather buy gas. the monster energy thing is pretty tired but hey for $20 on eBay I figure wth. Damn things almost blew off on the freeway lol.

..oh and the acerbis x-seat is a hard mofo. I used to have to remind myself to stand up. not any more!

I spend on graphics when I am ready to sell sometimes. KTM was good training for standing. No need to do like Decoster on his CZ (left the seat in the van during practice.)

Speaking of rekluse, the yz250f I bought had one installed with a Hinson basket. Rode twice and second ride there was a clatter from the motor. Pulled the case cover and found this

Kept hunting until I found the source

Bolt backed out and sheared the head off.

Pulled the remainder out with my FINGERTIPS

Called the knucklehead who put it in and he swears he used locktite red, but the autozone kind and not the industrial high temp, and probably didn't soak the bolt threads with solvent before application.
I abandoned the rekluse (shame) due to hub damage and put in a stocker. I suppose you know this already, but locktite red 272 is the one to use if you're bolting on a new basket. Everything else is fine, so one day I may decide to buy a new hub and give it another shot but for now it's in a bucket. :(
