The 6.0 will eat a 7.3 hands down. It almost makes me puke saying that. The 6.0 just needs a quick fix to be dependable. EGR delete and ARP head studs. .....

Stock for stock I'd take a 7.3 unless i had a couple grand to head stud it and what not.

BTW aren't Toyota's made assembled in the US like all the other "domestic" auto makers?

While Ford didn't take a bailout, the Obama Admin (aka government) did loan them $5.9 billion to pursue electric cars and other tree hugger crap. That $5.9 billion is merely a drop in the bucket compared to the auto bailouts though.

This explains it pretty well.

Toyota's are probably more american than the American trucks :picard:

And yes, I think its hilarious when people use the ol "Ford didn't take a bailout".

That is technically correct, the Dept. of Energy loaned them $5.9 billion through their Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing program, it wasn't part of the other auto bailouts. But yes regardless what you call it they got money from the government.

My point exactly... the 7.3 is a reliable motor, works hard without having to do anything to it... Multiple reviews making this statement not just a single person and as for Snowflake, didn't say anything about spec's just performance AS IS without mods, corrections, rebuilds or QUESTIONS abotu how the motors condition... I never heard good thing from a 6.0 owner. Just sayin what was told to me...

my dads a 6.0 owner, he's had 2 of them. the first had 500,000 on it when he sold it, his current has 138,000 on it.
but that said, I've never met any other 6.0 owners that didn't have issues :noidea:
all I posted was that stock for stock the 6.0 makes more power than the old 7.3 did :noidea:

Do you tow with it? The 6 Liter has no balls when it is put up against the 7.3 in stock trim. Proof is try and find a 7.3 for sale? bet its going to be hard. Then look for 6 liters for sale there is probably handfulls of them. The early 6.0 liters had cooling issues when towing. I guess they fixed it but it still didn't make the power the 7.3 in stock form. I know there is plenty of guys making hop up parts for the 6.0 motor.

The nice thing about the 7.3 is it got the same gas mileage towing or not.

My truck is always loaded.... I used to tow alot when I 1st got it and at about 90 mph too

The 7.3 is a great motor but anyone that runs the 6.0 after the bugs were washed out loves it! Snowflake has the 6.0 and he does alot of Heavy Hauling from California to New Mexico I believe...

The 6.0 pulls as hard as the 7.3 its just smoother with the 5spd torqshift tranny...
