Well I'm trying to think of a place that would be great for everyone's skill levels plus be good for everyone to stage/camp. Hungry Valley I think offers it all :noidea:

If looking for a private space INSIDE the park... the southern tip of Upper Scrub Oaks is tucked away and can accommodate about 7 rigs and many more truck and tent campers. It is close to the fun stuff in the park... and the trail heads to LPNF... and has no reason for others to cruise through your camp. It also has great broadband cell reception. :thumb:

Thats like the best spot in the park.

Hey,
You going to build some shelters like that at Camp Bolt? Sure would be awesome. :smirk:
Why camp at Stodd, when you can hang at Bolts?

Already did. Didn't work out well. Tore them down and re-doing myself. I am anal. Will be done for Nov.

Gawed,
Yu have got to be as anal as me then! I can't stand having people help and/or do shit around MY house, I just cringe every time I look at what someone else did. I get around to fixing it, and live and learn not to ever have help again.

I used to ride in between all those bushes above Scrub Oak before they fenced it off. It was awesome and TIGHT! I still like to hammer up that little trail that drops down into Scrub from the backside of a hill.

The good thing about Gorman is it DOES offer a variety of levels for EVERYONE. As long as Im not leading the ride Im happy:ride: at Gorman.

All those tight little trails are still there. Just can't get to them from the camp. Good warm up before hitting LPNF :thumb:

If we are doing LPNF, yes. I'm thinking riding the North side. This cannot be accessed from Hungry Valley directly, unless you are plated, and even then it would be a long way. But am still open to suggestions.

Hey Geek,
Is the boy (Bryce) still riding or is he in college now? :thumb:

I don't mind Hungry Valley, except that it is crowded on weekends. The spot that I am thinking about, none of you have been to (at least I don't think so) and is not horribly difficult but challenging enough. We would likely see nobody else and it is all legal. The entrance to the spot is only 15 minutes west of the fwy too, so not too far. Those of you who have done the last 2 LPNF trips, know that it's lots of fun up here away from the fray.
