I started running a couple of years ago for the first time in years. The loop was about 3 miles. I made the mistake of running on the pavement. I got shuts bad shin splints I had no choice but to stop. To tell the truth that is the main reason why I stopped. I would be lucky if I could run even a half mile without stopping. Thanks for the help. I will do my best.500 start with 1-2 miles keep there for a couple of weeks, run every other day. I f you can run on non pavement it is much easier on you. Good Luck!
