Woooooooooohoooooooooooooo!!!!!!!

I know that Witdogg had his KX250F lowered 1.5". These guys did it for him http://www.mx-tech.com/

This guy can lower your bike too. I know he has done alot of work for people at the other site. http://www.mysuspension.com/

Here are some bolt on lowering links that will get you 1.75" http://www.koubalink.com/drzinstall.html and then you can have the suspension worked on to get it lowered even more and shave the seat. If you guys already have the bike it might be something to consider. Good luck!

ok cool I'll check out those links. I've started talking my mom into the idea and still have to talk to my dad. I did some research and the DS has a height of 36.8" with 21fr/18rr, the SM version is at exactly 35" with 17/17...with some other little stuff like a gel seat or shave to stocker I think I could definitely ride it...my 150R's seat is at 34" and I can flat one foot or tiptoe both...but with the right setup like move the forks up and maybe a different spring then I think I'd be golden :busted:

How much do you guys think the different rims/tires, other SM conversion stuff would cost to turn the DS into an SM? I know it'd definitely be way less than another bike like the 230, but what would I be looking at? A couple hundered, maybe 2k? I do not know!!!!

You looking at around 1200 for a complete wheel set or you can buy just the hoops and have them laced to your stock hubs. Check out Procycle - Supermoto Wheels, Rims, Spokes, & Parts for wheels and anything else you might need.

Mmk I'll check them out too...also I think I might be able to get a good deal from our friends shop. I guess he has a awesome decked out drz400sm and works real close with the local Suzuki dealer so he might be able to hook me up with some parts, so I'm gonna also talk to him :ride:

thanks....

so i was lookin at our drz400s and online at the sm version......I can't believe I missed the fact that the front forks are inverted on the sm.....would the ds version look funny with the sm wheels? opinions?

It will look fine with the standard forks, here is a 650 thats been converted to a sm

You can take off the boots also and install seal savers, like this:

Good luck Steph - hoping to hear that you got your permit tommorrow!

thanks :thumb:

probably a dumb question but is there a way to flip the forks? Like cuz if I put in money to adjust them an stuff for my short height, and I get different clamps that have higher bar risers to put the tubes further down, is it possible? Just thinking of different stuff, also saw on the a ladies bike on TT with the sm version she said she had the kouba #2 link and a gel seat and it was like 3" shorter :noidea:

woooaaahhh whatta bad day  found out I failed my math class, then I had to take the written motorcycle test AND the drivers test......missed the motorcycle by 1 question  :pout: ......gonna retake it though and was able to pick up the new 2010, instead of the 09 that I printed off their website
