All Stewards of The Sierra National Forest Dual Sport Ride

Trails tires blow. Id rather run a DOT tire. I've tried both of Rack's rekluse clutches and one on a 200. Also the 2.0 on a 450 and 3.0 on a 300. The new setup is sweet. You still have the action of a normal clutch but can goat up and over stuff without stalling.

#5 Jr has made it north. Will get a few runs to work and maybe a couple shake downs in the local hills before the DS ride.

Most likely won't make the pre ride in Friday as I have work and can't get away but you never know when the time gets closer.

While you say trials tires blows, what about just for Kennedy Meadows and the Dual Sport ride? That is all I am looking to run it for, not in the desert. Just for the summer time.

Ok, I will do with this opinion what I do with most (all) of your other opinions:wave:
Yeah you never liked my opinions.
I'm not interested in the trials tire. I know many like them and work for what you want to do with it. I like to steer with the rear tire and that won't happen with the mt43. The don't roll over on the edge as they are square but try it and see how they work. I'll get your opinion first hand at the DS.

I get all of that. I am being more specific on the focus of it though. Just gonna try it for the single track of Kennedy Meadows and the stuff that we rode in the dual sport ride. That kind of stuff seems like what these tires would excel at. We have never ridden at KM together, do you go up there much? You weren't that far from there. The rocky, single track stuff where you don't do any rear wheel steering seems like the place to give it a shot. I don't have a desire to try them out in the desert.

Yup, I think they would work great in KM and the DS ride. I have not been to KM since the early 90s. Rode up there every summer. Still want to take my son up there riding.

Yah, you being so much closer than myself, I can't believe you weren't up there a few times a year at least. I would go 2-3 times at least. 2 of those being day trips at 400 miles round trip:crazy:

I used to go up there all the time, then it slowed down when I was racing dez as I was racing during the summer. After I stopped racing, I was spending my summer days at the lake with kids sking.

Have you tried one in the forest or was your first "opinion" just related to the desert?

I've rode both. I like to slide the back tire with the brakes as well as the throttle and clutch. I did not like the trials tire. Knowing how you ride, unless you have mellowed considerably since your "kencussion" I don't think you will care for a trials tire. The novelty of it goes away pretty quickly.

Are you considering a rekluse too?
