Hey that's a cool map you posted, you most have added it after the fact as I didn't see it the first time.

Most people around me do call it pop, however I prefer calling it soda.

That's a marketing wet dream as it basically becomes free advertising/branding. :thumb:

Need to refine your poll...like JOCO said Coke is a brand...and if you're wanting a Blackcherry soda/pop you wouldn't ask for a COKE right?

So, I call carbonated (non beer) beverages "soda"...Coke is Coke...Pepsi is Pepsi and Root beer could be a number of brands!!!! :prof:

My favorite brand of "soda" is "coke".
"Pop" is an onomatopoeia, which has nothing to do with a carbonated beverage at all.
"Fizz" would be an appropriate onomatopoeia for soda. -BIG DAN:thumb:

:lol: You would think so right? However according to the map in the first post that's not the case, looks like majority of the south calls it Coke. :noidea:
