View attachment 4791My race vehical

Its a 78 Datsun 280Z. Its has a Corvette LS4 engine and trans in it. Its been dyno'ed at 500 hp. And is a handful to drive.

That is a sweet ride...I knew a guy that had an Auston Healy with a 350 in it......pretty much handled like an old Triumph w/v8 would...hauls ass in the straights but a mess in the corners...

My dad built a triumph tr7 from the ground up with a ford v8.....:thumb:

That's a bad azz smoke!! did you just get it? I have never heard or seen you talk about it before :thumb:

Its not really mine:rolleyes:, though I have raced it on a few occasions. It belongs to my brother. However I do have lots of time involved in working on it. Its a scream to drive. It handles very well. Pretty much the only thing that is original Datsun on the car is the frame, body, rear diff, and the half shafts. Everything else has been replaced with some semblance of aftermarket or racing equipment.

I do have my eye on a 240z that has a V8 conversion. Says its got a 283 in it, but I think the guy is mistaken. 283 is a ford motor and the distributor is on the front of the engine. This one is on the back of the engine like a chevy. But Im gonna go look at it anyway. He only wants $1750 for it. http://reno.craigslist.org/cto/2609861485.html

Chevy made a 283 also. I'm pretty sure it's consistant with all the small block Chevys, ie; 305, 327, 350, and 400.
