So I was at the specialist today and it looks like next Tuesday, the 6th, is going to be surgery day.

Thanks for all the "get wells" :thumb:

Update: July 22, 2010
Well I saw the doctor today, the first time since surgery, and I got some new x-rays. Good news is that it's healing just fine and have great ROM. The bad news, I can't :ride: for another 2 1/2-3 months. :foul: The reason he gave is that the nature of the break is so bad that if I were to break it again before it's fully healed, it might not be repairable again. So I guess now I'm looking into October. Ugh :repeatablybangsheadagainstdesk:

Guess this means even more time with you guys. :smirk:

Update: August 23, 2010
Saw the Doc again, he's pleased with the results, but it's just going to take more time. If you look at the x-rays you can see that the void is closing, slowly. He seemed very confidant that it should be ok by T-Day, will know more in 6 weeks.

:cripple: Hey James aka Jaime, you have this all wrong! First you post a "to the ride report", WRONG! Then you post a "Crash Repor"t! What the hell! It seems the only thing you can get right is how to WAD yourself! :bonk: If you would follow instructions you have posted a "Ride Report" and avoided all of this drama! :prof:

Glad you are going to be ok! Time is on your side Just think if you were 40+ and that happened

Hey James,

Is this you :noidea: :smirk:

best wishes james....ive been there....plenty of time for the internet now ehh. :smirk:
you were here most of the time anyway....
i posted a thread just for you of my injuries....you will be fine...i had the same shoulder injury on the right side....looks to me like you need surgery.
everyone i know that got a bad a/c separation and didnt get the surgery have alot of problems later....i had the screw installed and now i have no pain at all....in that shoulder anyway

Awwwww! Walk it off!!!!

That must have been a spectacular get-off!

Man, I know what "crunchy" bones feel like...I shattered my scapula (shoulder blade) like a dinner plate into 5 pieces riding, and I could almost HEAR to crunchiness.

You, buddy, are DONE for the season if they are gonna cut you. That means hardware installation and removal. Awkward casts. Muscle atrophy. LOTS of PT time. That'll heal up good though. You won't have lasting loss of anything. It'll be a pain in the ass more than anything. Hope you wipe with the right hand!

Good news is I haven't let you off the hook for the OH ride in July! :thumb:We''ll just take some easy trails with no overhanging branches to catch your raised splinted arm. :ride: Buy a Rekluse and you'll be fine!

Damn James, you have it worst than my dad. He broke his collarbone, but he didn't have to have surgery. Did your bike get tore up? And when the hell were you gunna tell us when you got the bands in?
