Gonna be a first time 2t owner... 02 kx250

:prof: Correction, it wouldn't necessarily be the 250 that would smoke me, but instead your mad bike skills. :hail:...errr...:moon: Heck I bet if you hopped on a little 85 you could still smoke me. :picard:
 I'm not sure about that...

Hate to break it to you buuuut

KX250f HP stock-32(around there)

KX250F torque- 2.93 kg·m or 21.1927305805 Foot pounds @ 8,500 RPM

KDX220R HP stock-37

KDX220R Torque- 3.5 Kilogram-meters or 25.315548475 Foot pounds @ 7K RPM

http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/kawasaki/kawasaki_kdx220 04.htm

Now the torque specs are from an 04 but I'm pretty sure they didn't change much in those model years(04-05)

Now lets factor in that the KDX has a wide ratio transmission:ride:

:P

These specs are not accurate....
The kxf is the better mx bike hands down
when both are in stockish trim, the kdx is the better off road bike (dez, too track etc..)
kdx is the better tight woods hand down

Ok you guys can keep going back and forth on this but the dude said he's going to buy new... So unless I get rid of my 07 for the 3k I want I can't get his

How are they off?:P

Of course the KXF is a better MXer it's got a close ratio transmission, hard suspension and a tuned high top end motor

For anything off the track the KDX wins:P

Actually, fast, whooped out sections, fast desert etc, the kxf is the better choice do to its way more advanced suspension...

uhh fast desert? your kidding me right? close ratio tranny? Now I think you just like arguing....

i love how no one cares about my posts in my thread anymore... :noidea:

Didn't notice your post, sorry bud. But how much does he want? if it's 3k than no way. That's more than what it would cost over here, and i've seen prices in cali and especially arizona being WAY cheaper for nicer bikes over there than here.

My cr250r is a better bike for wide open stuff than my 200....

I don't know what your "wide open stuff" is but it can't be too wide open if your CR can outrun your 200. Either that or your cr is geared outrageously wide or your 200 outrageously short.

both are stock gearing... the cr has a much taller 1st gear.... I have hit 73mph on the 200, it was about maxed out(speedometer) The CR has more power though(about 10hp) and likes to go in a straight line better. the 200 excels in tight woods, I can ride all day
in in mostly 2nd and 3rd....
