And here I was ready to off my 250 2t and go back to a 4t. That kitty just convinced me how fast a 250 2t is!

What is should do is drop a 500cc 2t in this bad boy.
That was the day I brought it home last March. It sure doesn't look like that now. Damn near 90 hours and lots of miles in the desert and trees, even a few on the ol mx track too!

Horsepower is for pissing contests, the important graph is the torque.
The shape of the torque curve is the essential difference between the two and four strokes. The two stroke has a pronounced peak where the four stroke is much flatter. The four stroke curve is also much broader in rpm. The two stroke may make more peak power, but the four stroke makes broader more even power.
The two stoke hit makes for a great grin factor that is undeniable. That surge of power can make anyone giggle like an evil mastermind. Four strokes just don't do that. They simply have power pretty much everywhere.
