ASVs go back and fourth only, protapers go up and down, back and forth refer to picture. I personally run ASVs too and have never had a problem
I have been less than pleased with asv's in the past, yes they work, but to me lever feel isn't that great, and this is one of those things I'm ultra picky about.
I am currently using these, they are lightweight, unbreakable*, and match the stock lever profile
