500cc's of Glory on youtube

Also @hondacr500af I never did see you answer the question if you've ridden a 450f? So Dennis, have you ridden a 450f?
I've wondered the same thing. But not on a track, in slower, technical terrain. While it can be done, I would think it would be tiresome to try and constantly have to manage the shear brute, awesome, out of this world, orgasmic inspiring power of the 500cc 2 stroke, oops, clean up in isle 2......

I do beleive I did answer this. It may not have been directly but, I have mentioned I rode both. I personally liked the 250f better than a 450f. The 250f rev similar to my 500. Just less power and overall speed. The 450 revved slower to slow actually and still has less power. I prefer the faster reving 250f even if it has less power than the 450f. I have ridden a 2010 KX250f, 2005 KX450, 2005 YZF250 and YZF426. I liked the 2010 KX250f the best out of all of them. Oh and by the way, woods and mx track. :P If and This is a big if. I ever bought a four stroke it would be CRf or KX 250f over the 450f.
James have you ever rode even a steel chassi CR or KX500? How would you like to test out a 2010 CR500af. I do beleive SH has 1 or 2 used ones for sale. Maybe AJ will let you test one out. I would be glad to let you ride mine. if I ever get out of this rotten state of NY. :thumb:

I wish we could just let others who have never seen a CR or KX500 Watch these video's. Beleive it or not there are others out there who would like to see and maybe learn about the other side of MX.

The thing that you still seem to fail to understand is that not everyone prefers a bike that is quick revving and has an insane amount of power. Some people prefer to ride bikes that have less power (250 or 125) or even a bike with less power and a broader range of power.

As I've said before, power isn't everything...

Is our replying to your threads in some way, shape, or form not allowing people to click those links and watch the videos? BTW I also recall a PM from you wondering how to get people to reply to your threads...so which do you want? This is a forum, people are allowed (actually encouraged) to have different view points.

I know... I had typed up a "give the guy a break" post but decided not to post it... and seeing that it saves a draft regardless if you "delete" it it stays in the quote box so I typed in EDIT
You know I also had a couple of things I tried to edit after i posted it. Just like you it would not let me make any changes. :noidea:

Yah, my thing is I got to leave this debate alone as that bike would just never be the bike of choice for me and the type of riding I like to do.

It would work in some of the areas, but I go by the 80/20 rule. I buy things based on what I would use it for 80% of the time. Before I bought my WR450, I entertained the idea of a WR250 but I figured I'd wring out the 250 a lot sooner with my slightly larger than life physique. That motor is not designed to go slow for an extended period of time while at the same time feathering the clutch to just this side of back tire engagement. Rocketing off the side of a cliff is not an option. The power needs to be controlled, period.

The unused drafts are removed after 24 hours or you can simply delete them by clicking this option under the save button.

Like we say here at work when things are too complicated..... "Too many choices"... you need to have a tutorial on this tool bar... :foul:... no idea that option was there.
