I can't get over the tiny foot pegs.
How did we ride them with such small pegs?
Atleast my 85 yz125 has tiny pegs.

Trust me it rides a lot better than it looks!
Depends on what you mean by fully restored!I'm kind of thinking of going all out on this bike with all new plastics, chesterfield graphics, seat cover, and powder coated frame. I'm gonna flip this bike eventually for profit but the extra money it would take to get it looking brand new would be $400 more. I could definitely sell it easier and get more profit but I'm not too sure. How much would a fully restored 88 yz250 sell for? I'm gonna keep it a while and probably sell it in a few weeks. So far I have $600 total in it.
It runs great now that I adjusted the idle screw. Cranks up quick, has lots of compression, very fast, idles great. It just looks rough! I guess I'll go ahead and go all the way I'm just trying to get everyone's opinion on it.Depends on what you mean by fully restored!
Spend $10 K and it's worth $5K maybe, tart it up ignoring all resto needs you might make a few hundy but buyer will bitch about you!

I already have all the new UFO plastics picked out, but if he has any suggestions I'll check it out too. Do you think I could get at least $2000 fully restored?Let's get @PALMER84ONE over here, he restores newer yz's but has the goods on where to go for parts.

Alright just wanted to see what y'all thought. I saw on some other forums the same bike completely redone for $3000 so Im not too sure. I'll check around some more2k might be tough, that's a tough bike to turn a profit on, simply because it's not really sought after and you can pick up a restored YZ newer than that for the same price. But it is a good project for you.
