250 1988 yz250 build

You're going to find out that regardless of how long anybody's been on this forum longer than the other guy, the people with knowledge are the ones you don't want to shove off. Otherwise we all will just watch you build, screw up, and carry on in your thread.
Andy has many years on him of engine rebuilds.
I have a few of motorcycles and restorations on bikes 99 up, but mostly was in automotive. I have rebuilt many bikes and I did a top end on my buddies 88, that's the only reason I am in your thread.
All the other guys like Alex has been down to road of old bike restoration.

But if you would like, we can see what is going on else where.
Peace!

I never said anything at all about anybody. You all seem to think I'm telling you that your advice is stupid and you should stop commenting. I never said anything like that. I don't know why you think that I've said something which is why I'm not sure everyone is getting mad.

Nothing wrong with electronic manuals. My preferred choice actually but I don't use them on my phone. I use them on my laptop out in the garage. I can zoom in and out quickly on parts fiche and also watch how to YouTube vids and smidge porn that mike sends me all at the same time.

That's about what I do I except I use my phone or iPad

I use my iPad for most stuff too but having it on paper to fold a corner of a page or leave a bookmark in helps save time trawling through endless net pages to find something you read yesterday!
What's your thoughts on all your chassis and engine bolts lovespeed?
Straight back on or plated before refit or going new?
Whatever you do don't sand or wire wheel them as they will rust within a few weeks!

At work I've got Mitchell on Demand, I worked out of shop manuals for about 20 years before this format became popular. And the computer based version is immensely quicker as far as finding what your looking for. Usually more detail and sometimes users will add their own notes and tips which can sometimes be useful, also updated procedures can be added , as well as service bulletins etc.....However I will print out some of the procedures somtimes, and that's great also, I can spill coffee on it, write my own notes down or, whatever then throw it away. No wall of manuals that are falling aprart anymore (except for the vintage stuff maybe from the early 70's and before)The only downfall is when the Internet goes down I'm kinda screwed sometimes.

Already have a complete new bolt set so every bolt will be replaced with new oem type bolts that are supposed to be stronger
