Pro Update on Trey Canard & Ryan Morais Crash

dont think i could handle racing like that. my first time on a track people were flying over me when i roll the big jumps... really freaked me out. I never went back on a weekend again.

whats even worse is when your the guy in the air! we don't do separate motos at the track here in town and theres about a 60ft step down where you can't see anything on the other side and i was in mid air looking at a kid on a 50! i'm so glad i didn't land on him, would have been really bad...

I don't like letting my kid on the track when there are 250/450's running. If there is no option I ride behind him so if someone comes over a jump hopefully they get me first.

I hope they turn out ok! Praying for them both.
Trey is my favorite rider, but he has very bad luck. Seems like he hasn't had a full season except his first 450 SX season! I'm surprised his collarbone held up.
Get well soon, guys. I hope they can both get out there and ride again.

Looks like I'll be the first to say...I wanna see that helmet camera video from Moaris!

It's just one of those things, happens every time when your new, and when the time comes then your the one jumping beginners. Track ediquette say you move off to the side for better riders but you know, shit happens. It's a sad story but when you sign the release, you sign out your safety, and when the gate hits the ground you seal the deal or sit in dust. I feel bad for both the guys but, you know, this is the difference between motocross and soccer, we all accept the dangers and your a fool to expect anything less.

To sum up the crash, Canard got one of those tough block covers stuck in his sprocket causing him to come up short on that triple. Because of so Moaris landed on him and some kawi guy hit them both.

The Kawi guy was Weston Pieck...I've mentioned knowing him inanother thread...he's a local kid trying to make it on the SX level. Seems the crash did him in too. At one time I saw he was in 14th...and falling back. Don't know how he finished.

Hope the others mend quickly.....

i think YD's dad took over his account :P. very well put dude. still for me i am not young anymore so something like that would probably end me..... just little get offs and im out for weeks
Well said Trav. I can not afford to get injured anymore yet I still find myself having too much fun at times. :ride: Seeing this kind of stuff almost ends it for me just looking at it. Got to be extra careful out there.

Actually around here we say hold your line, the faster guys will find a way around you.

I remember battling with guys last summer and coming up to kids (on a 65/85) and praying that they hold their line while we pass.

Why would you be on the track with 65/85's anyways? There should be different practice times for different size bikes.:prof:
