My Husband and I went to Ocotillo Wells for Prez weekend. We joined MxDirtDiva and her group. We got there Sat afternoon. I did a short, fun "chick ride" just before dark. We ended up at the Iron Door where Traci had never been and we put a bill on the wall with all of our names on it. We for some reason were treated like rockstars there
Gee,
I wonder if we would have gotten the same treatment had we been on quads?
It poured Sat night and there was plenty mud and puddles to play in on Sunday. Sunday was a long "group ride" to the Casino with a stop at Pumpkin Patch and Shell Reef. I rode a friend's XR400 that I couldnt touch the ground on. It felt weird to ride it after being on the KLX. I was not riding like myself at all on it. Regardless it was a great day and good ride. Two dumps in the mud by my Husband and Diva
Im sorry to say but they were funny to watch happen. A crossing many didnt make and many stood around to watch try to make.
Monday was GORGEOUS! I did a small "dude ride" with some guys from camp and then went on a long "chick ride" Monday afternoon. We rode to say hello to a friend who was going to go on the Chick ride but her Husband's knee was hurting and they needed to load up. We stopped a couple of times and did some exploring, goofing off and dancing around like girls do ending up ultimately across the Hwy where we rode "the chute" and played on all the AWESOME hill climbs. The traction was UNREAL We ended the ride at the Iron Door for A beer and then went back to camp with BIG appeitites, a warm welcome and warm food. What a satisfying day it was
Another great weekend with fun people. Lots of good laughs around the fire as usual.
Here we are taking a break on some climbs and acting silly.

It feels so good to be back on the dirt! Diva rocked her bike like her knee was never hurt. Thanks MxDirtDiva
I have so much fun riding with you. We dragged Traci up some stuff that bumped her confidence up. It was good for her to get out with other girls and challenge herself without any pressure.
And best of all...No bodies or bikes hurt this trip
Sorry, I didnt take but 4 lame pics and one silly video. Maybe Diva has some pics but I dont think any from the real fun stuff. We were too busy ripping all the walls and hills over there. It was like dirt bike Disneyland.
Im a little sore and stiff today. I need to get back into shape for riding. Now I have a reason to get back in shape
As if living longer wasnt a good reason. Well...you know how is it

And now I cant remove one of them. JAMES! HELP!

j/k it is a very small world indeed! I look forward to riding with you Palmer. Street and dirt
No complaints, clocked 140 miles over the weekend. Always enjoy riding with you guys, glad the weather didn't keep you home... see, it never rains in Oco. Cleaned lots of mudd off our bikes, gear, made a dune on our driveway. SUPER job on that new 450 of yours ~ saweet ride! Surprised how low it sits compared to the CRF450. Heightwise, doesn't seem much different than the 250?? Thanks for letting me take for a spin and spending the weekend with us ~ fun times!!
). Had steady rain all night. Primal called James, said a quick hello to our DBA host.
.... while the wiser ones (bawk, bawk, bawk

) found side trails that led into the wash.

These pale things loam lifelessly fermenting in this huge glass vat/jar which is filled with this questionable and stenchy murky particle liquid. No idea how long some of these eggs have been floating in there. Some look as though they've gone beyond the aged-to-perfection stage and morf'd into some serious science project with red tentacles sprouting out of them.
