Whats a good LCD TV????

I help test a ton of TVs for work. Sharp has the best screens these days, terrible TV UI though. LG has good screens and UI.

I would pick in this order:
1) Sharp
2) LG
3) Vizio
maybe Samsung if you can find a good deal.
After that might as well buy a budget brand....
I don't care for Panasonic or Philips.

I bought a Sharp LCD 1080p, 120 hertz 52 inch about 6 months ago from of all places, Dell, and LOVE it.:prof:

WG - I didn't read your post but, I hope You didn't buy a Sharp 52"........aparrently, there's huge problems with them --something about a severe health risk....I'll see what I can dig up. You're welcome, in advance. N-Edge

Putz you are.:thumb: Maybe that is why my labia is a bit swollen lately.:smirk:

Holy Moly - just got through reading the CSA consumer safety bulletin this morning!! It appears that there is a severe risk of the new Sony Bravias (specifically the 46" model) spontaineously combusting. Thank goodness I held off of buying one.

EDIT: just read jaysonwaltz's post above. Welcome to the site jason :thumb: I did hear that the pic is pretty good, at least until it ignites itself....:smirk:

I just bought a 46" Sony Bravia LCD-LED. The picture quality is great and it was on sale for $999 at best buy. Lists for $1600.

Is that just for the regular LCD's or the LED's? I have the LED backlight version and I can have it on all day and nowhere on the thing is even warm to the touch. Its the coolest running tv i've ever had.

As far as I can tell he pulled the whole "safety bulletin" thing out of his :moon:, nothing to worry about. Heck at first even I thought he was serious.
