The MX Track - How was your day today?

Also you pulled the trigger on one of Palmer's YZ's?
No, I'm not in a position to do that right now.
But he sent me a rear wheel spacer for the YZ that I lost when changing the tube.
Yeah I agree changing bikes is not helping much, which is one of the reasons I wanted to buy a YZF250. I have 2 YZ's now and the KX. The YZ's feel similar when riding, the KX is the oddball of the group. But it's the only 4T I have right now, and I've been getting used to it. I think a 4T is more suited to my age and ability. I like that I can be lazy with it.

I haven't ridden in 3 weeks!
I loaded up the truck 3 weekends ago, went into town, fueled up, grabbed some cash for the track, got breakfast at Mickey D's.
While I was pulling out of the drive-thru I heard a hissing noise. I'd hoped it was from the guy behind me.
100 yards later I saw the steam coming from under the hood.
Got out, looked under the truck to find a lot of antifreeze coming from the rear of the engine.
I filled the radiator and limped her home.
Got out the flashlight and saw a stream of coolant coming from the back of the driver side cylinder head.
I figured I puked and intake or a head gasket so I parked it.

Went out yesterday with a flashlight and a mirror, and found that it was only a freeze plug that was leaking. I'm assuming it rusted through cuz it was spewing from the center of the plug.
So good news is not a bad head gasket.
Bad news is its the freeze plug on the head, and it's 2 inches from the firewall.
I ordered an Dorman expandable rubber plug, but now I gotta figure out how to punch the freeze plug through or out.
Anyone got any idea's?

By the time I get back to the track its gonna be 110 outside.

wait until you ride a newer 250f. My sons is an 09 and it can be a handful when running moto. Scary fast for a bone stock 250f.

Thats why I dont see myself ever needing a 450.
My KX is plenty fast and powerful enough for me, and my YZ250 is too fast and powerful for me.

well here’s the thing. The 250f you almost ride like a 125 2T and 250 2T Combined. Need to carry that speed but has the power of a 250 2T if that makes any sense.

Lol!
I'll figure it out when and if I ever get to the track again.
Someone tell me how to get that damn freeze plug out of the cylinder head on my truck!
I was thinking of using a bar with a hole in it and screwing a 5/15 lagbolt into it...
Gotta figure out how to get a hole in the freeze plug first though...
