2 Stroke Urgent hel needed

I was thinking and im going to cut new edges into the bolt with the grinder and drive on a smaller socket. I think it would be better then trying to flaten with a hammer. .anyhow I wouldn't be able to hit the edges with the hammer because I wouldn't get a flat swing with the bolt being surrounded by the basket..id only be hitting it from an angle. ..

Unless you use a flat tip punch you are correct. Good luck with the whole thing.

I am not sure how you plan to cut new edges on the bolt head given the limitations you just mentioned about not being able to hit it straight on. I am not sure you are thinking of doing it the way I would. The punch works, or you simply lay it on it's side and strike from straight down. even something the size of a claw hammer with a few controlled contacts will peen the metal out so that a good quality socket can be driven on and fit tightly.

I was going to use a 5 inch grinder..but im not sure of your method.. do I hit down on the head of the bolt like ud hit a nail with a hammer

Yes, that is the way i would do it. peen out the corners that are in the worst shape. Find a 6 sided socket if at all possible. if you decide to weld a wrench on it, it wont matter.

Before I make my forth attempt today I just want to confirm that u turn this bolt anticlockwise to loosen?? So will someone confirm this???
