Well today was a new one for me, first time in the 10ish years I've been driving that I had to buy tires. And now I know why too, dang those aren't cheap. :shocked::bonk:

I recently put 4 new tires on my car, Michelins at a cost of $1200 out the door. :picard: Could have gotten some that were less expensive but they did not have the mileage rating. And, these are directional with the back being a different size than the front so I can not even rotate them.

No idea what rating mine were however I got roughly 50k out of a pair of off brand all terrains for $90 ea. Because of that I will try NOT to purchase big brand names again... Maybe I got lucky and if so... then I'll let the next set prove it. :thumb:

45,000 and since they can not be rotated they cut that to 1/2. :lame: I got about 30,000 out of my last set and they were not the same brand. I have only a few brands that supply the size tires I use which is why they cost more.

Well, I doubt it's a race car (that would be a waste of money unless used for the track)
I doubt it gets as good as gas milage of any (maybe not my Jeep recovery vehicle FZJ80) Toyotas
And the myth is: different size and/or directional tires being needed for every day driving. (total gimmick)
There is really not much to say if we are being economical.
BUT.... To each his own...

Michelin LTX M/S will yield you 60,000.

Only set back to those is you have to wash and/or replace after a couple dates! :smirk:

I agree however, I can not change the way the cars come from the factory and what size wheels they chose to run. I like the car so I deal with the tires. :thumb: And it does get 28mpg on the open road. :prof:

YOU tell em!!! Kinda like people poking fun at someone driving a H2 saying "bet that gets lousy MPG"... YUP, but if that person cared they wouldn't have bought it! :D
