This was after the trip above where it was in the desert, the Augest trip :)

The covers came out better then i planned I was really happy to see how the pro circuit cover came out. I prep sanded it alot, did three coats of primer, 3 coats of black, and took a tiny wire wheel on a dremmel and by hand ran it over the lettering to rip the paint and primer off and shine it up, looks just like I had hoped! :)

The clutch Cover also looks Great! for this one I also did sanding, 3 coats of primer and black, and then took a tiny paint brush and by sprayed the blue into a cap and hand painted in the lettering and even the magnesium part  3 coats of blue, it came out well but the paint i used wasnt light enough... i like the look but I was hoping it would "pop" more, i tryed matching the bike's frame paint wich it matched untill i put the matte clear coat on to seal it... it took away any shine and dulled the finish more then i exspected, oh well it still does look cool! :) specially out in the sunlight!

I can't wait to one day see a full beautiful FMF powerbomb header and powercore silencer on this side of the engine, the stock header is so fugly :'( also blue radiator hoses!

These pics didn't fit in the last post so here is the bike as it sits now, the mods i had to make to the pro circuit cover to make it fit because it was contacting the fly wheel and needed to be shaved down to fit, (the part came off of a WR400 i think it was an 00 or 01. and also thought i would throw in a side project me and my buddy building his pre-runner, installing a full fiberglass 1 piece front end, bed cage with fiberglass bed sides and roll cage.

Also, my truck posed in the dirt.

(one day i want my truck to look like the red pre runner at the bottom... so close yet so far! )

Goddammit i love your trucks

Haha thanks man I love my red ranger, I just got to drive the black one for the first time tonight man do I want a 4.0 v6 now! Hahaha, just put in new headlight housings And going get HIDS soon I had a used pair but the ballasts blew :/

Also have a sub to install and complete my sound system. For my friends black one were finishing up the bed cage and interior cage Monday, then starting on a front bumper and he just got a 32" led light bar were putting on the bumper, also unstalling a skid plate, then when it's done were building a rear bumper and throwing away stock.

What did you think of my bikes new additions?

Damn i forgot this was a dirtbike forum. I guess that looks pretty good too now that mention it. I just hope your cover's stay looking that purty, i've never had luck with anything staying on mine. :thumb:

Hahaha I made it a mini ranger forum thread  Me too, I did a lot of prep work and let them cure between coats it should last, matte finish is very though but it is a dirt bike so only time will tell

generally the more Sheen or Gloss in a finish the stronger It will be. The shine that you see on a finish is directly related to the amount of binders or glues in the paint

That's interesting I haven't heard that before... My experience with spray paints and clear coats are matte is the strongest though, if you pick at it with your nail it won't catch And hardly scratches. And with gloss paints if I do that then it always indents or makes a mark.
