Is this a PLATED ride?
Miller Canyon and the Dam are NOT plated rides, Green and Red sticker (Red must be in season of course) friendly, just park your trucks in the area you choose to stage...and the trails start from there!
Is this a PLATED ride?
If you are crossing Devils Hole, on the other side if you don't have a plate, you'll have to go over White Mountain. Palmer is an Ass, but even he wouldn't do that to you.
What is this white mountain??? I've heard stories last we rode devils hole in may...someone needs to show me
Tire ripping, rim scratching/denting/cracking pile of rocks that beat your ass up hill and bounce your ass down hill. Other than that it's the only way to Big Pine with a green/red sticker bike. But hey, I have done the other way many times without incident. And if you have a LEO with you, you might be golden.
Ok, Let's get a head count for Sunday, 08-19-12
Miller Canyon or the Dam? EARLY!!! (As possible)
Details? I'd like to join.
Be prepared for some rain and more important lightening if you stay until the afternoon.
One safety tip. When caught out in a thunderstorm keep riding. As long as you are riding the lightening basically has to hit your person to do you damage and long as your feet are on the pegs. If you are hiding under a tree it can kill you even if it strikes up to 100 feet away,
Well? How was it?
It was: Dry, Dusty, Hot, and fun. I love riding with (most of) my kids, well "Helmet on, motor running" when we got back to the truck my 19yo ASS of a son got stoned and then picked a fight with my 16yo son. They rolled around on the ground, I pulled them apart, 19yo whent right back at it when I turned around. I sure am glad he doesn't live at home anymore. I just can't deal with it anymore. I know why I like riding with the other three all the time, no fights, just good times!

Ahh good old teenagers! I have one that is 22 and acts 16 at times. He is STILL at home and Im ready to kick his ass out. He doesnt do enough around the house (pretty much nothing) and is a arrogant jerk at times for no reason. My Daughter on the other hand, she is pretty easy going for the most part but is capable of melting down over nothing suddenly. The two of them used to go at it all the time. I wanted to run away from home, and I did! A lot! I would load my bike and bail after they went to school. Thank god for that or those kids would be sorry as hell! I would drop them off at school insanely mad and yelling because they would start a war at 7am, and then I would pick them up after school all calm and happy like nothing happened.
Your a good Father for taking them out to ride
