What did you do to your bike today?

Took my bro-in-law for an easy sunrise ride up in the desert to show him the basics. He LOVES riding now! :thumb: And promptly washed my new scooter before the dust settled in :smirk:

Dropped the motor of as I said and tore it down the rest of the way when I got home. Frame is going in to see if it can be salvaged from my abuse. If it can, then it's beg Tim for a powder coat job. :thumb: If not, its a sand, prep and paint.

Tim?

Reading this post is making me thirsty.

Thy thirst shall be quenched in bottles of grog. Thursday after work sound good, should be around 4:30 or so to get through the traffic? Unless I can just spot blast the foot rest area befor I give it to you.

Well, I'll give it to Husky, they sure don't cheap out on the powder. :faint: I blasted the foot peg areas only, and it took about 40 minutes. Since blast time is usually $2 per minute, I'd say you got the better part of the deal. Before it comes back, you'll have to strip it all the way (key and races), or I can do it, but I'll need the key. Also, I'm not sure what we can do about the serial number. It looks like they coated that area with a texture black, and a thin coat at that. If you want those numbers not to disappear, some pains taking Timo magic will have to take place.

Edit: I'll be at BH's scrimmage this afternoon in Rowland Heights, so let me know when you're heading out.

I dont have pics of the work done, nor did I do the work:smirk:

Why? Because Big Dan did it for me!:hug:
He checked out the valves on my SM. And they checked out ok, whew:faint:I made meat loafs for he and his lady.

After the valve and compression check we then we went for a ride from his driveway out into the dez. But only after the HARD down pour that was taking place for us while he worked on my Z. His girl friend was sweet and very nice. Major points for her for being cool with me hanging out in the garage with her man and then taking off with him for a ride. It was AWESOME! The traction and the sunset were amazing! Not sure why we didnt take any pics. I guess the fun factor was so high we forgot. Right at the beginning of the ride I saw a big puddle and went to try and pass Dan at the right spot to try and splash him but instead he nailed me so bad I almost crashed lol Then a bit later we stopped and took our helmets off to cool down. It was so humid, we were soaking. We had passed a truck parked in the brush and middle of nowhere. We stopped not far from it, just out of view and aways from it. While we were standing there we heard this really weird sound coming from where the truck was parked. It was the weirdest sound! I soo wanted to know what it was and what they were doing. We never did figure it out. At one point I wanted to sneak up on foot and spy on them but Dan was too chicken:chicken: Or perhaps he was just being smart:prof:

Im soo jealous that Dan can just roll out and take off out of his driveway:drool:

Anyhow...what a great time I had and what a GREAT HELP Dan was. THANKS BIG D! And thanks again to Tiffany.

Good peeps:cheers: Good times!
