Its 11 months too late Jos for that thumb but get it looked at anyway as it may be a bone fragment stuck in the cartalidge. That could ruin your 30's for ya if you dont fix it now....
There was no impact. It was a hyperextension. I probably will get it checked though.
 
Hyper extended injuries can take a very long time to heal. Ive had them take as long as a year just to start to feel normal again. But they are easily reaggrivated from just the littlest motions or impacts.

Good info. I basically had no grip for a month, and very limited grip for about 4 months. Now I would say I have 85%-90% grip and motion.
