I easily found a starter for a chinese quad I acquired. In my case it was necessary because it doesn't have a kick start. But if you'd like help trying to find one you could provide the make and model.

I look around and found a couple generic chinese starters but I was unable to confirm if any of them would fit str99s bike. I found at least 3 different types of starts claiming to fit a 150cc air cooled motor. On the plus side if you can find out what the correct starter is they are cheap around $40.

I would try to get a hold of the old owner and see if he has the starter even if it does not work we would at least know what it looks like and be able to go from there if he does not have the starter see he has some pics of the bike with the starter still on it
