Well, you should clean your carb. add new gas, new plug(make sure you have a strong spark) make sure the filter is clean.

If it was old gas that sat there for a while, then yes...new gas would make a difference.

I'm more talking about different types, I was running 95 premium and it was running 100%

I have recently switched it to 98 octane, could that make a difference?

Shouldn't. I have run 89-93 with no changes.

I would try 95 again just to rule that out. As far as i know all stock bikes are made to run at 93

Like Jos said, I'd start with draining the gas and cleaning the fuel system (fuel filter (inside tank or inline) and carb). Also check for intake/exhaust leaks.

May I ask why you switched to 98 if 95 was working just fine? You'd better not say it was for a power increase. :lol:

i believe Australia does not use (R+M)/2 when determining octane, they might just use research octane

Must be riding hard! Get a bigger tank if thats an issue

if its an mxer you should get 40mins of hard riding in per tank
