What did you do to your car/truck today?

over the course of about 6 years my dad and I took a plain jane 86 CJ-7 and built it into a fairly capable off roader, for the most part it just sits and before he takes it on vacation tomorrow we realized that the oil hadn't been changed in about 5 years  which is kinda alright considering it doesn't even go 100 miles a year.

2 inch suspension lift, 1 inch body lift
reverse leaf shackle kit (moves the front axle forward about an inch)
hydraulic winch
electronic lockers
fuel injection system off of a 4.0
5 point roll cage
homebuilt bumpers
33x12.5R15 Cooper Discovery Tires
Woody driveshafts :smirk:
4.10 gears

coming soon: Ford 5.0 HO with automatic

Maybe a 6 point cage... 2 front-under dash, 2 mid-behind seats, 2 rear-on/near wheel wells...

I like it, almost went that route a while back... I wanted a V8 stick but all the 8's had autos in them... Nice looking ride... :thumb:

You're right

I know conventional 4x4 lore says that a manual is better but I disagree, Never seen any driver who can feather a clutch better than a torque convertor :smirk: and when you need hold back move the selector to 1,2 or 3

Kept at my rubber replacement campaign on my 98 Camry. So far it has a new timing belt, coolant hoses, belts, air intake hose, and a few miscellaneous vacuum lines. Need to replace the brake booster vacuum hoses and the rest of the small vacuum lines along with the plug wires and that will be done. It's important to replace all that original rubber in the engine compartment after the car is 15 years old. Don't want to get stuck on the road due to something like that.

I dont think I've posted about my most recent piece of junk; 1979 Ford F150 Ranger. 351m, auto, and super gay.

There's still room for a bike. Dont worry, I take donations.

And it's up for sale.
I think I'm just trying to fill the void of getting rid of two Chevrolet's that were 100 percent beauty. Oh well, I have a motorcycle now, so the truck sits in the grass until it rains or needs to be worked. Who wants it!!

Air lockers are for posers, I like that Miller locker! Case of miller, And a Miller mig welder :D

Screw the lockers, just weld the suckers together and be done with it... makes highway driving a bit sketchy but hey... everyone needs a thrill now and then....
