I tore apart the carb on the 85 one more time.....changed the jetting, lowered the clip, checked the reeds, put it back together, kicked it, cursed it. Then drank beer.
Your problem was the order you went about things.
If you start with the beer first, everything else would go much smoother.

, but it turned out i didnt need it after testing it with the new 30 pilot jet, the bike is super super snappy now, new handlebars look great and the barkbusters fit better on them, new tire will be on the bike tommorow, thing is meaty
I didn't even know that you could break a main jet in half.
Jets are like solid brass, hard as a rock
