I have plans to send my cylinder to Millennium Technologies to have my cylinder plated after it is ported. Most likely I will have Eric Gore port and polish my cylinder. Bore it .020 over and match the bore to the Wiseco piston. Luckily I have a friend who has the expertise and ability to match my cases.

You are better off with the stock bore if yours isn't so worn that they can't get it "right" with the new piston.

Used to only bore cylinders when necessary....
No need to plate a cast sleeve if oem is cast.

If you want to keep the port timing the bike has or was given. staying stock on the bore is the easiest way. Plating the cast iron has a big affect on reducing wear.
