Trials tires suck for the desert, not enough psi to safely protect the rim at high speed.

My stand gets to some pretty remote places...

I've run both knobby and the trials MT43. The trials really hooked up and was great for slow tractor work. I did not care for it when trying to "steer" with the back tire, brake sliding into corners or throttle sliding out of corners.

With the "whiskey throttle" you ran last Sunday, a trials tire may have jerked the bike out from under you going up and down the granite.

Being that I am not up to the speed of Rack or some of the other stand riders, I really like it for both traction AND durability. I have had mine for a while now. But I also run mine with a HD tube.
