The difference between doing it myself and having a contractor do it? The inspector spent one minute here signing off the wood replacement, just swung by now for all of 30 seconds and signed off the nailing on the paper, and the final. All of this from the curb at the street.

That's a bitch but sometimes not a risk worth taking yourself if he tells you to rip it all back off and start again:banghead:.

Wow, they just come to make sure the roof is done here.

I was a super on a job that I took over for someone else. Inspector made me rip off a 10x10 area of a roof because the roof sheathing was never inspected. I didn’t know sinc the roofing was already do you when I showed up.

Dang that's some story Timo. Very heartbreaking while at the same time, I'm thinking that couple may have loved each other more intensely in their last two weeks of life together than ever before. Kind of a bizare cryptic beautiful love story.
Now, please excuse me, I have to go chop some wood, wrestle a Gorilla, help Old Lady Johnson cross the street, shoot an Elk and exchange my tires for the snow tire. (Man-Card returned??? :lol:)
