Most coaters will only sandblast, and coat. A chemical bath would make it worse, trapping liquid in spots, and coming out when it is cured. For anything used that has been around oil, grease, and road grime, you need to bake what you're doing first, before sandblasting.:prof:

I guess it depends on the bike, I could not get mine out no matter what I tried, there just wasn't enough of a lip to hit on. :foul:

i looked at mine and it's got a c clip holding the bearings in on the wheel... i don't think i've seen that before but i've got snap ring pliers so i can take it off

I'll post pics later... Instead of a build thread from day 1 I'm doing the whole thing at once. Did the frame, subframe and rims black and the hubs and triple clamps a Lollipop Blue which is supposed to look anodized. Trying to decided plastic color but we'll see when I get it put together. He quoted $240 but my buddy forgot to take out the hub bearings so he had to do it :bonk:

It takes all but about 5 minutes to knock out what 5 bearings?? if he charged you to do that, he wouldn't get any my business nor would I recomend him to any one else.
