Converted litres to gallons, we are paying $5.89 for regular unleaded, $5.51 for E10, $6.40 for premium unleaded and $5.70 for diesel. It's a bloody joke, funny people laughed when I kept my old Nissan Diesel, and also built the diesel bike, getting rid of the V8 GM Holden muscle car, but it's certainly saved me heaps in the long run.

Fuel companies are whining about people who fill up and drive off, now it's not the right thing to do, but it is telling you something.

I'm buying a mountain bike for all the short runs :)
Its good for me too, sitting on my ass in the car isn't :wink:


Exactly, I have a mountain bike, Mongoose tyax super, disc brakes, nice front forks etc, and gets around town faster, especially in peak "hours" of traffic. And it keeps me fit and stop the roof developing over the tool shed if you know what I mean :lol:

where I live it wouldn't eveythings really spread out, I have about a 20 mile commute to school D:
but that just means I need to leave an hour early :wink:

Get a hard tail for commuting, and get a solid fork, and a set of street tires, they will save your but if you want to do 40m a day.
