Went riding today. I staged in the desert at Soggy Dry Lake and tried to get into the mountains. The only trail I could find that would take all the way up, I couldn’t make the first climb. 
I also broke rear brake m/c on that failed attempt. I rode the rest of the with no rear brake. That wasn’t very fun.
