I love the old school boards, especially Peralta, Alva, and Santa Cruz. The screaming hand is one of the coolest, most legendary logos in skateboarding. They came out with Skullcandy Skullcrushers with the screaming hand on them, I want them! But they don't make them any more Maybe I'll scope a pair out from ebay 
And what I remember is that stupidity isn't discipline-specific. There's people that blade, bike, moto, quad, skate, and scooter, that are all cool people, but there are also those who are the douchebags and ruin the fun.

ive skated with Alva... he showed up at San Pasqual high school. there use to be some really awesome banks that we would skate a lot and he showed up one day... real cool guy. not as old school but ive also skated with Jason Lee(big actor now..had his own show called My name is Earl") he too was one of the real cool people. Danny way tho was a complete prick. he came to a spot in Vista one day and offered some kid 20 bucks to punch some bum in the face... the kid did and Danny Way welched and would not pay him. Being from SoCal back then i would run into so many guys that are Legends now.... We even watched Tony Hawk show up at a spot and start filming for Powell Perolta 7 and me and my buddys shoes made it in the video
speaking of Santa Cruz tho... My first skateboard was a Rob Robskopp
My buddy (one in the hat) with a old school skater about a week ago at BDS WCJ 2010. Anyone know who he is? If you know Santa Cruz... you should know him.
Trav... I must say I am jealous. I would have given anything to skate with some of the pros from back in the day. The guy above/Steve Alba/Duane Peters/Alva/Caballero and etc.

yea well back then they were not as huge as they are now. Skating wasnt a big corporation like it is now so it wasn't the same as if you went skating with them today... now some of those guys are superstars. Also my group of friends never really treated them as famous people jsut cause they could skate good.. still a human and they got the same treatment as anyone else i just met at a spot. Funny when Tony Hawk showed up to the spot i didnt even know who it was until i seen he was riding a board that wasnt even out in the stores yet... then it clicked 
New mod: Inward finally got TSI brakes back in stock so I ordered one! 
The stock brakes use a hinge mechanism, and are flimsy and make horrible rattling noises that just make the whole thing seem cheap. Well, the TSI brake is designed for TSI decks, so obviously some modifications had to be made. Had to drill a hole here and there, but the final result is awesome, the brake is more sturdy, and it rides like a Cadillac now. Can't even hear it when riding.

yea that would be the cool thing to do... before you leave jsut start a trash round up. if any lazy shits sit around while you do it start giving them hell and smack talk a little till they help.
