No spark on 125

Got a 1998 Rm 125. Absolutely love the thing to death. Took it out one day ran perfectly fine. Changed the sprocket and chain the next day started up fine, took off down the road and it died. No spark whatsoever. Just changed the ignition coil and that still didn't fix it. What could it be??

Disconnect the kill switch. See if it sparks.

Look for bare wires rubbing the frame and test the Stator.

No bare wires. What setting should I set the meter to, and where should I put the probes to test it?

Your testing for continuity. There should be tests outlined in your manual on how they want it tested.

getting the resistance settings for the stator is going to be necessary.

Probably the same test specs between the 2 models.

yep, if it wont give readings within 50% it is worth taking to a shop to verify. hell i have seen them still throw some spark at 50%

I would also check all the grounding points. Every screw related to the electrical system should be removed scuffed and reinstalled.

No spark on 125
